Luci SHIN UQ FLEX α mini IP67
LFUMAY-O
High efficacy LED series. Compact section 10x12mm, IP67 flexible side-bended light 2W/m to 15W/m
APPLICATION
Step light
With its small cross-section and dot-less design, it minimizes reflections on the floor. The 2W/m and 100lm/m output provides sufficient illumination without being overly bright, making sure that footpaths are safely lit.
Bench
The flexible side-bending feature allows the lighting to contour seamlessly along the shape of the bench. With a power range of 4 to 6W/m, it provides a gentle, ambient glow around the bench, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal in public spaces, parks, or indoor seating areas.
Handrail
Easy to install under handrails with its compact cross-sectional size. The constant current LED board allows for a maximum distance of 162 meters from the power supply to the fixture. This means fewer power supply points are required, allowing for up to 10 meters in a single series connection, making it highly efficient for long handrail installations.
DESIGN & INSTALLATION TIPS
Handling Fixtures at Open Joints
In buildings that may expand or shift, it is advisable to separate the light fixtures at open joints. This helps to minimize potential issues related to movement over time.
For Straight-Line Installation
The joint plate for rails ensures precise alignment, maintaining a
seamless straight line. It accommodates lengthwise expansion and
contraction, allowing for flexibility in installation. For example, two
1-meter rails can be effortlessly combined to support a 2-meter
luminaire.
Cable Feed Directions and Usage Guidelines
Back Feed
Ideal for cove or recessed lighting installations where there is space in heights.
Side (Right) Feed
Perfect for indirect cove lighting applications, ensuring a seamless and clean appearance when there is space in width.
Both options minimize visible dark spots at fixture joints and enable secure, straightforward connections between two fixtures using the attached connectors. These features ensure a professional finish and reliable performance.
Need space for cable management
Cable relief space
For side feed installations, it’s important to allow at least 10 cm of space for the cable and connector during the design stage. This helps prevent unnecessary strain on the cable and ensures safe, long-term use.
Space for back feed cable
When using a back feed cable, you’ll need to raise the fixture by about 2 cm to allow enough space for the cable to pass through safely.
Using SUS Hold Clips
SUS hold clips provide a safe and secure way to mount fixtures, whether facing up or down, without damaging the tube. They also make maintenance safer and easier, and their slim 2.5 mm width helps maintain a smooth, continuous light flow without interruption.
Energy-Efficient Landscape Lighting
If you’re looking for energy-saving options, consider lights that use just 2.1W per meter. They provide a comfortable brightness at 93 lumens per meter (@2700K)— a great balance of efficiency and performance.
