Without a palmet, the light source remains fully visible, resulting in higher brightness but potential glare, making it suitable for direct illumination. With Palmet same height as reduces glare and softens the light for a more controlled and diffused effect. A deeper curtain plate fully conceals the light source, creating smooth, indirect illumination with minimal glare, ideal for cove and accent lighting. SHIN Creide (LCEY) and SHIN Creide lens (LCELY) have the same external dimensions, but differ slightly in the way the light is emitted: LCELY has a lens, which extends the light at an angle of 10° diagonally, while LCEY has no lens, so the light is emitted at a slightly wider angle of 15°. The LCELY is recommended when you want to extend the light a little more for a wall grazing effect, while the LCEY is recommended for large cove lighting where you want an asymmetrical, slightly wider light.
