DESIGN & INSTALLATION TIPS
Correct installation
The luminaire emits light at an angle, so proper installation and orientation are crucial to achieving the desired lighting effect. Incorrect positioning may result in uneven illumination, glare, or misplaced light distribution. Ensuring the correct orientation allows for optimal light coverage, making the fixture effective for cove, wall grazing, or indirect lighting applications.
"With Palmet", "Without palmet" affect lighting appearance and glare control
Skirting plate affects lighting parformance and glare control. Without a skirting, the light source remains fully visible, resulting in higher brightness but potential glare, making it suitable for direct illumination. A partial curtain plate reduces glare and softens the light for a more controlled and diffused effect. A deeper skirting plate fully conceals the light source, creating smooth, indirect illumination with no glare, ideal for cove and accent lighting. The difference in lighting effects can be best illustrated through visual simulations or real-life images, showing how each method impacts light distribution and ambiance.

SHIN Creide lens (LCELY) and SHIN Creide (LCEY) have the same external dimensions, but differ slightly in the way the light is emitted: LCELY has a lens, which extends the light at an angle of 10° diagonally, while LCEY has no lens, so the light is emitted at a slightly wider angle of 15°. The LCELY is recommended when you want to extend the light a little more for a wall grazing effect, while the LCEY is recommended for large cove lighting where you want an asymmetrical, slightly wider light.
